add to favorites SMF Peruvian King Triton Herdsires for Stud 667 0
SMF Peruvian King Triton is a very easy going male who has a great temperament and excellent conformation. His fiber over the years has been great as he has great density and he usually produces 8 to 10 pounds of fiber a year. We have had yarn made out of his fiber and it has been knitted into scarves. King has great geneics as low micron counts have held over the years he has been on our farm. King's grand-sire was 4Peruvian Legacy 6016 (HA-R166559-*Peru WH) and grand-dam was 4Peruvian Matilda 6517 (HA-R166629-Peru WH) on his sire's side. His grand-sire was PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014 (HA-R139287-Peru MF) and grand dam was PPPeruvian Jasmine 5033 (HA-R139130-Peru MF) on his dam's side. King produced his first cria, a female, on our farm in July of 2007. She has been named WCA Lady's Love. She is a lovely fawn color. 2007 Micron Count: Fiber Diameter: 26.8 microns Standard Deviation; 4.4 microns Coefficinet of Variation; 10.4 % Fibers greater than 30 microns 15.5 % (84.5 comfort factor) Fiber samples available from 2001 to 2007, plus yarn.

Sweet William was sired by our SA Expresso. This is only the second male that SA Expresso produced on our farm and what a surprise. His first micron count in 2006 was 18.9, in 2007 it was 19.3, and in 2008 it was 22.1. In 2009 he placed 3rd in the Alpacas of Oklahoma Blast Off Handcrafters' Spin Off. The spinner stated "wow, great texture and a fantastic hand. Sweet William is a very gentle boy and has been spending time with other males and there is no fighting in that pen. Sweet William has inherited his conformation from his dam and sire; the fineness of his fiber from his sire and the weight of his fiber from his dam. His fiber has a wonderful feel and handle. We plan to use Arni in our breeding program as his micron counts have been great. In 2007 his micron count was 20.4 and in 2008 it was 20.3. Arni received a blue ribbon in the 2009 Southern Select Alpaca Show Handcrafters' Spin Off. This is an AOBA certified show. The spinner of Arni's fiber wrote that his fiber was soft and crimpy with a fabulous hand, tightly crinkled, very soft - nice bounce - pleasant to skin. This male has great conformation and a good bite. Arnie has definitely inherited the temperatment of his sire, WCA Ohio Buckeye and is very laid back. Arnie has inherited his fleece from his grand dam, OBS Snow White. All of the crias from this line have had excellent fleece. Arni has an interesting family tree as his grand sire on his sire's side is 5Peruvian Prestige Picchu 9065, Huacaya-R800682-Peru MF and The Silversmith HST G452, Huacaya-R65537-Chile LSG W, on his dam's family tree. Wolf Creek Alpacas is brokering a 'Great Six Pack of Alpacas.' Due to the health problems of the owners, they want to leave the alpaca business. This is a lovely herd and is being offered at a once in a lifetime price. The herd consists of 6 ARI registered Huacaya alpacas: 2 females with female crias by the side, 1 female weanling, and 1 people friendly gelding. The alpacas can be sold individually, also at very attractive prices, but the owners would prefer to sell the whole package at the unbeatable price of $22,450.

When WCA Dusty Miller was born, his fiber appeared to be the color of the plant Dusty Miller. However, as his fiber dried out we realized that he was white, but we just liked the name. We have used Dusty for PR and he has done a wonderful job. Dusty was in the Copley, Ohio, Heritage Day Parade in August, 2006. Dusty did something that I had never seen an alpaca do before on a parade route. As he was lead down the road, he would stop right in front of where a child was standing and would allow them to touch him. It was really slow going with him as he was constantly stopping. Dusty is also a very laid back alpaca. He shares a pen with 1 other male at this time and it is always a peaceful pen. Dusty would be an asset to any farm, especially as a PR alpaca or on a fiber farm. Champ was one of our foundation alpacas when we started out in the alpaca business in 1997. We were hoping to use him as a herdsire, but he did not cut the mustard in regard to his micron count, but his conformation, bite, and density was great. He also was one of our greatest escape artists on our farm, and thought he was the top herdsire. Champ was gelded in 2007 and he is now a very relaxed alpaca who spends time with two upcoming herdsires, Day Star's Peruvian Bulldozer and and WCA Arnica Montana, and there is peace in this pen. Champ no longer tries to jump fences. Champ also leads very well and he does not spit, and we have used him as a PR alpaca in our yearly Copley Heritage Day Parade. There is a funny incident between our LGD and Champ. Our dog would spend a lot of time in Champ's pen as they were buddies. We knew that the dog would sometimes mouth his fiber, but we had never caught the dog in the act. You can notice that on the picture of Champ. One day I caught the dog mouthing the fiber and I really chewed the dog out and he knew he was in trouble. When Champ realized I was on his side he started spitting at the dog, he just needed backup. The mouthing of fiber finally stopped. We will be honest, as this was a hard decision to put Champ up for sale as we would have like to have him live out his life on our farm. However, we have reached the point where we simply need more room for upcoming crias. Champ is an easy keeper,a very sweet alpaca and we are hoping that a fiber artist who may make rugs is out there who would be interested in Champ's fiber, or someone who would like to add another gelded alpaca to their present herd, or for a 4-H Project as he is easy to lead. We do put value on our alpacas, but we want to find someone who has a heart for a senior alpacas. 2007 Micron Count: Mean Fiber Diameter: 309.9 microns Standard Deviation: 7.6 microns Coefficient of Variation: 19.1% Fibers Greater Tjam 30 microns: 93.5%

This all black, all Peruvian herdsire is all male. He has settled several females, each one on the first breeding, and he has 16 beautiful crias on the ground. Eleven of Expresso's crias are females. His crias range in colors of white, gray, dark fawn, dark brown and black. Expresso's fleece is unusually fine for a black Peruvian, and his conformation is excellent. With that rare combination of a colorful ancestry and pure Peruvian genetics, Expresso can be counted on to add both color and quality to your herd. Also, Expresso's crias have a lot of spirit and good temperament. Expresso has only sired 2 males on our farm. One of the males was sold in 2003 and the second was born in 2005, who was WCA Sweet William. We sheared on May 27, 2006, and Sweet William's fiber was sent in for a micron count and it came back at 18.9. On Sweet William's second shearing in 2007, the micron count was 19.3. Sweet William's fleece placed 2nd in the MOPACA INVITATIONAL ALPACA SHOW in the Handcrafter's Spin Off. We have lowered the price on Lily as we need to make room on our farm for our next crop of crias that are due during the summer and fall of 2010. This young lady has the personality and spirit to liven up any herd, and her top-notch fiber and conformation should make her an excellent breeder for many years to come. Lily's micron count have been unbelievable over the years as she produced baby fine fiber for 6 years. She would be an absolutely first class addition to your herd. Lily is a proven female and has had 2 male crias, the first in 2005 and the second in September, 2006. We know that Lily can throw color as Lily's second male cria, WCA Tongo, was a lovely dark fawn. Tongo weighed in at 14 # 5 oz., and his IGG was 1733. This male only remained on our sale list for 9 days and was sold. He was a beautiful alpaca. Just an update as Lily's fiber that was sheared in 2005 and 2006 was spun into yarn by a local mill. Presently a sweater was knitted with her yarn and it worked out very well, very soft with loft. If you go to our web site, www.wolfcreekalpacas.com, and click Farm Store, and go to the "Yarn for Sale," there is a picture of Lily's yarn. Dozer is a very dark brown with black on his face. Due to the Black Magic element, we believe he can throw a black cria. His fiber micron counts in 2007 and 2008 have stayed pretty stable. Here is a chance to buy a beautiful gelded alpaca that is being brokered by Wolf Creek Alpacas. This alpaca is from Curtis Farm who is going out of the alpaca business. Harley's dam is blue eyed and Harley inherited his dam's blue eyes. Harley will not be used for breeding and was gelded. If you are knowledgeable about the blue eye genetics, you will know that the fiber from a blue eyed alpaca is super soft and has a wonderful handle to it. Harley also has very dense fiber. Harley is a very gentle alpaca and would be a real asset for a fiber artist or someone who would like to add a gelded male to their herd. The owner of Harley had his first year's fiber, combined with others, made into yarn and in 2006, combined with other fiber, made into rovings. You can go to Wolf Creek Alpacas' "On-line Store" and check out the rovings. Harley can be bought separately, but is also included in a "Six Pack" package of alpacas: 5 females and Harley. WCA Daisy is a light fawn alpaca. She is a delightful alpaca who enjoys her herd. Daisy's dam is light fawn as well as her sire. Daisy is the product of our escape artist, Peruvian Champaign's Solid Gold, who escaped his pen one day during August of 2003, when we were not home. It took us a while to figure out who her sire was, but fortunately we had written down the date of his escape. Sometimes things like this happen when you have a herd of alpacas. "Our Daisy" has a good temperament, which has been handed down to her by her dam and sire. Daisy's micron count is rather high. n Daisy has good density for a female. If Daisy is sold, a breeding will be included.

Wolf Creek Alpacas is brokering Ginger. Ginger is a beautiful snow white alpaca, with a little brown spot on her neck. We thought that she was capable of producing a cria of color, and she did in the Fall of 2007. She delivered a female white and brown pinto. However, when the Autumn was sheared in May, 2008, we found that she is True Black and white. Ginger has extremely dense fiber for a female as she produced 7 # 10 oz of fiber in 2006. The owner of this beautiful girl is having her fiber spun into rovings as her fiber is great. The sire of Ginger's cria, Autumn, was Harvest Moon's Antonio.
